Joining in with the traditions of mid-Autumn festivities of Vietnam has become something of a tradition for League Cultural Diplomacy (LCD). On Sunday, 1 October 2017, for the third consecutive year, LCD Founder Grant Hall joined up with a community initiative and visited schools in disadvantaged areas within Binh Thuan Province to deliver moon lanterns, books and snacks to hundreds of school children.
The mid-Autumn Festival is an important time in Vietnam and traditions include the eating of moon cakes, traditional lion dancing, drumming and moon lantern parades. You can read about our previous school visits by clicking here.
Grant would like to thank the organisers of the day and the schools for their friendly welcome. A slideshow of photographs from the day is below.
